5 Tips For Mindful Eating
Mindfulness is a state of mind that helps you focus on the present without being judgmental. You do not necessarily have to cut down on your food intake to lose those pounds as you can adjust your mindset by training your mind to be consciously aware of every bite that you take. Often we are not aware of what we munch and nibble on throughout the day casually in office, or while dropping your child to school. Your body continuously gives you cues as to when you are hungry and you need to decode your body’s feedback accurately so that you do not misinterpret them and indulge in impulsive eating. Just like a good night’s sleep is important for your child similarly eating mindfully can help you take care of your health.
Peace and Sustainable Development in the Democratic Republic of Congo: A successful mission
Peace is truly in jeopardy in the Democratic Republic of Congo as the country has faced severe war for years, and is currently going through a “rehabilitation” period which is a favorable period for peacebuilding initiatives. Indeed, some smart thinkers of an organization called East Eagle Foundation which is based in the Democratic Republic of Congo and represented by the Peace Rebel Fabien Numbi Ntambi, believe that peace is the absence of conflict and the plinth of any sustainable development. They are well aware that real peace can only start in the mind and wanted to help sow the seed of peace into the minds of the youth of Congo and (especially the one of Kinshasa) so that sustainable development is fostered in their various communities.
Amani Oh! Amani – A Peace Quest From Africa – Part 4
Everything that comes to an end restarts in some form or another. As I come to the end of my series, it is only the end because I feel I have given an objective enough perspective of my experience with the Amani 2 fellowship, and perhaps this may provide you with a somewhat informed decision when you opt to apply for such an opportunity. It was amazing in my books.
Everything was not told (maybe I should consider writing a book) but everything told was as I have sold. So, let’s see how this epilogue will unfold.
Unexpected and Remarkable Discovery On the Journey to Peace
I remember the day when I have heard about Peace Revolution. It was in one of the peace camps where my friend told me about it. It was such an exciting moment as I have found the space where I could combine two big parts of my life – social and inner development. Whenever I started my journey in Peace Revolution I had a feeling of being in the right place as here I have found the work that I used to do for myself. For years I have volunteered and worked in international peace building organization and used to meditate for inner and spiritual development. And here… I have found both of them together and interconnected.
