My Loving-Kindness Meditation

Many of the Peace Revolution guided sessions finish with a loving-kindness meditation. I feel happy and silently excited during this moment. The idea is to garner enough peace energy to share the love, joy, kindness with communities and the greater world. Practicing loving-kindnessĀ makes a person open to use it on a daily basis in real life, be kinder, more mindful, in the everyday human interactions.

Itā€™s certainly not a coincidence that both the words ā€˜medicineā€™ and ā€˜meditationā€™ come from the same etymological root: the Greek prefix ā€œmedā€, which alludes to a medium point in between two opposites or, in other words, to that subtle state of balance we hear so much about in health blogs and yoga lessons but rarely get the chance to truly interiorize.Ā  In this brief post Iā€™ll share my experience of meditation as the most effective, universal and low-cost medicine I have ever tried.
