I Find Peace Like This
Having a balance life is what I am always searching for…After getting my master degree following 4 years of study in China, I was full of energy, big dreams, ambitious plans and high expectations about the life I had ahead of me. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out as I had expected (not that happy); after 2 month search, I couldn’t find the job I was looking for and became depressed and unhappy. All of my expectation and big plans were ruined as my search became fruitless.
People who are involved in solving different social issues in their communities, who are being engaged in helping professions rely on their compassion, empathy and ability to put themselves in someone else’s shoes. This is a remarkable personality trait, but often we forget to be self-aware when being emphatic.
I have always been a very vehement person. That’s why I turn normal conversations into arguments very often. In my mind I’m not arguing, of course. Let’s say that I’m just expressing my thoughts in a very passionate way… And if I don’t have a personal opinion to state, then I enjoy contradicting people’s opinions because I always feel I must play the devil’s advocate.
We are social beings and together we create the family unit, the neighbourhood, the community, and the greater country. We make the world. Just like the individual cells in our bodies working to keep us alive and well, we, too, are cells that make humanity.
