Ever wonder what will it be like to achieve Nirvana? That is the state of being achieving true oneness within – to free yourself from desire, suffering and the sense of self. It can really be challenging as we cannot deny the fact that we live in a materialistic world. But even if we begin to understand the depth of the concept of nirvana or karma, we need to first make peace within ourselves.
As easy as it sounds, it’s actually difficult. Many of us suffer from the different circumstances and consequences of our decisions every day. Fight with a colleague, being told off by the boss, breaking up with a loved one or just the idea of giving up on life.
Now before you go suicidal, know this, we have got you covered. You are not alone in this. Accepting yourself and finding inner peace is not an activity but a lifelong process. We would set you on the path for self-acceptance and the idea of letting go of all your worries.
Making Music Your Drug for Relief
No matter how poopie of a day you’re having, music will get you through it. Make a list of your favorite music and enjoy as long as it makes you happy. Music can be the best chicken soup for your instant cure to get peace of mind.
Let It Go
If you have been a fan of the movie frozen, you will definitely love this. Let go of all the worries of the world and learn to be a free spirit. There are some things that you can change and then there are some things that you can’t. Let it go and cut your losses, there is no point of crying over spilled milk. What’s done is done. So believe that everything is going to be ok and Hakuna Matata.
Learn to Love Yourself
Embrace the idea that you’re the best. Don’t take crap from anyone who tells you that you can’t do this or that you suck at it. Always believe that you are worthwhile and there isn’t anyone who can tell you less about yourself. Make some cool fashion choices, get that perfect body shape, learn the cool walk and be a pro at it.
Live the Moment
Spend some time with yourself. Take a break from the fast pace of life. Balance it out. Hang out with your close friends. Make them feel good about themselves. Let go from the constant demands of life. Treat yourself with an ice-cream or chocolate and live it out for the moments that are worth living.
Be Mindful of Your Thoughts
Not that we are trying to make star wars reference here to Obi-Wan Kenobi. The idea is to think positive thoughts and let go of the negative ones. Be kind to accept what is given to you and not to regret upon anything that you missed out on. The best way is to have enough sleep, calm yourself down and achieve peace of mind. Even if you are insomniac, select a good movie to watch, indulge yourself and you will probably get some nice sleep at the end of it.
Not Everything is Less in Quantity
Be thankful for everything that you have and anything that you don’t. Be content with the much simpler things in life like breathing, seeing and hearing. Money can’t always buy everything. Be kind to appreciate the small things in life.
Trust Yourself, your instincts and you will be in good hands. Ponder on this:
“We don’t need more money, we don’t need greater success or fame, we don’t need the perfect body or even the perfect mate. Right now, at this very moment, we have a mind, which is all the basic equipment we need to achieve complete happiness.”
